Remembering Rosina

In loving memory of Rosina Christina Bramante who sadly passed away on 26th May 2024.

Rosina, born in Chesterfield, Tupton, was one of three children. Her mother, Carole, from Chesterfield, while her father, Georgio, from Italy. Rosina was always proud of her Italian routes. As a child, Rosina was bubbly and outgoing, embracing a tomboy spirit, riding motorbikes, and cherishing adventures with her friends.

After school, Rosina began working in a sewing factory, operating machines. Even in her spare time, she couldn't resist the call of needle and thread, always ready to mend curtains or trousers. Her love for crafting extended beyond work.

Rosina was a devoted mother to her three boys—Lee, Jamie, and Adam—and a proud grandmother to Sophie, Mason, and Dylan. The arrival of Sophie, her first grandchild and the only girl in the family, filled her with immense joy. Mason and Dylan, her beloved grandsons, were showered with her boundless love.

A fighter by nature, Rosina faced a breast cancer diagnosis in 2009 with resilience and determination, eventually beating the disease. Her zest for life was evident in her nights out with friends, where she was a fixture on the dance floor, always up for a laugh and cherishing every moment. Enjoying holidays together, which she looked forward to the most.

Rosina's career in care spanned over 20 years, where she provided exceptional care to those living at home. Her dedication earned her a carer award, and her clients adored her for the high level of care and kindness she provided.

Rosina had a flair for fashion, with a wardrobe full of jumpsuits and an impressive collection of shoes. She was also an avid football fan, cheering for her favourite team, England, and supporting Dylan during his weekend matches, as well as being her grandchildren's biggest supporter in general.

Christmas was a special time for Rosina, marked by family gatherings, delicious turkey, and her famous trifles. Music was a constant presence in her life, and her love for dancing and her unique two-step moves will always be remembered.

Rosina was house proud, often refreshing her home with a paintbrush and keeping fresh flowers, especially carnations, her favourite, on the table. She loved driving her little car, despite being a nervous passenger. You'd always find Rosina in the kitchen having a fag, with a cuppa tea or coffee.

On May 26th, 2024, our lives changed forever when Rosina became an angel. Though we are left with the painful question of "why," we find solace in knowing she is with us in spirit, guiding us through life until we meet again. Her love, laughter, and unwavering spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
